Ella Emhoff was spotted walking hand-in-hand with her GQ editor boyfriend Sam Hine during New York Fashion Week, just weeks after she confirmed their relationship.
The 22-year-old stepdaughter of Vice-President Kamala Harris was photographed holding hands with her 27-year-old beau outside of Thom Browne’s Spring 2022 show Saturday, Page Six reported.
The model and her boyfriend both wore outfits from the menswear designer for the event.
Emhoff opted for a two-piece suit set that appeared to be made of two different fabric textures, with a button-down white blouse and a navy blue tie underneath. She accessorized with Browne's $2,890 small rabbit bag.
Meanwhile, Hine sported a knee-length pleated skirt, dark sports jacket and a pair of black combat boots.
Emhoff confirmed that she was dating Hine in an interview with Vanity Fair last month. The model also revealed during the interview that her perfect date was a stop at the market, buying the wackiest produce and figuring out what to cook with it.
Emhoff captured the internet when she arrived at President Joe Biden's Jan. 20 inauguration in a Miu Miu coat and a burgundy dress by New York designer Batsheva. Her look prompted IMG Models, the agency that represents supermodels like Karlie Kloss and Gisele Bündchen, to offer her a modeling contract.
Emhoff told Vanity Fair that she still adores the tartan coat, which had crystal-encrusted shoulders. "I still dream about that coat, but I feel like if I ever wore that [again], it would just be like, ‘Really? We get it,'" she said.
But she was ready for a new style. "I am growing my hair out. Heard it here first. It had its moment, and I want to move on from the mullet. I’m ready for the big curly mane," Emhoff added.
Emhoff, who graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City, made her Paris Fashion Week debut when she walked the runway for Balenciaga's Fall/Winter 2021/2022 collection on July 7.
At the time, the model shared a clip on Instagram of her walking down the Balenciaga runway in an oversized black blazer and extra-oversized black coat. "Balenciaga couture," she wrote in the caption. "Thank you/congrats to @demnagvasalia and the whole Balenciaga team. Truly amazing."
