The AFC West is very much up for grabs in Week 11 of the 2019 NFL season. The Kansas City Chiefs have a half-game lead over the Oakland Raiders for first place. The Los Angeles Chargers are two games behind the Chiefs. The Denver Broncos are in last place and three games behind Kansas City.

The standings could see a big change this weekend. Oakland is expected to roll past the Cincinnati Bengals, who are the league’s only winless team. Kansas City and Los Angeles will meet in Mexico City, giving the Chargers a chance to cut the gap between themselves and the Chiefs in half.

But the betting odds suggest that L.A. isn’t much of a threat to the top teams in the division.

Kansas City is a heavy favorite to win the AFC West with -360 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook. Oakland is their biggest threat with +380 odds. Los Angeles is a long shot at +1200.

Denver is given almost no chance to mount a comeback. With Joe Flacco done for the season, the Broncos have +5500 AFC West odds.

It wouldn’t exactly be stunning for the Chargers to upset the Chiefs. Los Angeles defeated Kansas City when they last met in Week 15 of the 2018 season. The Chiefs are favored by 3.5 points over the Chargers at a neutral location on "Monday Night Football."

The Chiefs have lost four of their last six games. Kansas City went 1-1 when Patrick Mahomes missed two starts with a knee injury. The quarterback threw for 446 yards in a Week 10 loss to the Tennessee Titans when he made his return to the field.

With the reigning MVP under center, Kansas City remains the class of the division. The Chiefs are 2-0 in the AFC West with blowout wins over the Raiders and Chiefs. Even with Matt Moore starting two games, Kansas City ranks third in total offense.

Derek Carr and Oakland have exhibited one of the NFL’s best offenses. The Raiders face a soft schedule in the second half of the season. Kansas City is Oakland’s only remaining opponent that has a winning record.

A Week 10 loss in Oakland will make it very difficult for Los Angeles to make a run at the AFC West title. The Chargers are winless in the division. Los Angeles was upset at home by Denver earlier this season.

The Chargers have the best defense of the contenders in the AFC West. Philip Rivers and the offense has held Los Angeles back. The Chargers have failed to score more than 20 points in five of their six losses.

Los Angeles was considered to be a Super Bowl contender in the preseason. The Chargers went 12-4 in 2018, reaching the second round of the playoffs as a wild-card team.

Nine AFC teams have better than Los Angeles’ +12000 Super Bowl odds in Week 11.
