Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's relationship is still going strong, but they are currently living "separate lives," according to a report.
Kardashian and West appeared to have worked on their marriage after going through a rough patch this summer. But though they are still together, an unnamed source told People that the two have not spent much time together in recent weeks.
"Kim has work and projects that are important to her, and Kanye has his," the insider said. "Their lives don't overlap much."
According to the source, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star "seems happy" despite her busy schedule and is remaining "focused on work and causes."
"She strongly believes she can make a change when it comes to prison reform," the insider added. "This is her passion. Her family is very proud of her."
People reached out to Kardashian and West for comment, but the reality star's rep did not give a statement while the rapper's camp did not respond.
Just recently, Kardashian, who is studying to become a lawyer, called on President Donald Trump to grant Brandon Bernard a commutation ahead of his scheduled federal execution. Bernard was convicted in 2000 for his role in the 1999 kidnapping and killing of youth ministers Todd and Stacie Bagley on a military reservation in Texas.
"Brandon Bernard, a 40-year-old father is going to be executed tomorrow by our federal government. Having gotten to know Brandon, I am heartbroken about this execution. I’m calling on @realDonaldTrump to grant Brandon a commutation and allow him to live out his sentence in prison," she tweeted.
Unfortunately, the execution went ahead Thursday. Following Bernard's death, Kardashian took to Twitter to share her thoughts in a series of emotional tweets.
"I’m so messed up right now. They killed Brandon. He was such a reformed person. So hopeful and positive until the end. More importantly he is sorry, so sorry for the hurt and pain he has caused others," she wrote.
Meanwhile, her husband has maintained a low profile after the election.
In September, West and Kardashian enjoyed a date night together while celebrating a friend's wedding. She shared photos and videos from the outdoor backyard wedding, including a snap of her and West's feet
