Kanye West In New York To Help Kim Kardashian Prepare For 'SNL' Hosting Gig: Report

Kanye West is in New York City to help his estranged wife Kim Kardashian prepare for her hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live," according to a report.

Amid rumors that the former married couple may be reconciling, the "Gold Digger" rapper has been giving Kardashian advice as she prepares to host the NBC show this Saturday, Page Six reported.

"Kim is nervous about hosting 'SNL.' It's a big challenge, but she is determined to be a success," an unnamed source told the outlet.

The insider continued, "Kanye is quietly advising her on her performance, her opening monologue, even her costumes for the show."

West was spotted hanging out in Manhattan Sunday night with "SNL" star Michael Che, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and Busta Rhymes at the Stand Comedy Club, Page Six reported. According to the outlet, the group celebrated Talib Kweli's birthday, as well as Chappelle's new Netflix special.

Meanwhile, Kardashian was seen Tuesday exiting her hotel in the Upper East Side and heading to the NBC studios in Midtown.

The Skims founder is expected to start rehearsals Wednesday, after a Tuesday night host dinner with "SNL" boss Lorne Michaels.

Kardashian previously admitted on Instagram that she was feeling "the pressure" about the big hosting gig after Debra Messing, 53, seemingly questioned her role.

"Why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch. Am I missing something?" Messing wrote on Twitter.

Kardashian's fans were quick to defend the reality star from critics.

"Truth be told @DebraMessing, @KimKardashian just wrapped up what is likely the most successful & longest-running reality television show in history & is launching a new series on @hulu. That and her 'side gigs' @skims & @kkwbeauty made her a billionaire. She is @nbcsnl worthy," one fan claimed.

Kardashian — who filed for divorce in February — and West have remained friendly following their split. They were spotted meeting up for dinner in Malibu, California, last week.

The former couple was photographed leaving the restaurant Nobu Malibu with Tracy and Ray Romulus, the former of whom works as the chief marketing officer of KKW Brands. Kardashian got into the same car as West, with the rapper in the driver seat, his ex taking the passenger seat and their pals in the back.

Kardashian has also continued to support West's career. She was present in all of West's listening parties for his album "Donda" in August.
