Kanye West Vs. Jay Z Feud: Jay Z Misses The Old Kanye, Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke Shocked After Rant
Whether it’s the “straight from the go Kanye,” “chop up the soul Kanye” or the “set on his goals Kanye,” according to Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke, Jay Z misses the old Kanye.
While most Kanye West fans know the rapper-producer has always been an egomaniac, it’s no secret that his antics and personality have changed in recent years. It’s this recent change that has Jay Z missing Kanye’s old self. During a recent interview with Page Six, Burke revealed he spoke with Jay Z after Kanye’s recent rant and they both agree that Kanye has changed.
“The last I saw [Kanye], he spoke really highly of Jay,” Burke said. “I’m not sure about the relationship at this point. I spoke to Jay [after Kanye’s rant] and we’re both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.’
Even though Kanye’s rant about Jay Z may sound harsh to many, Burke knows the type of person Kanye is and suspects that the rapper is currently going through something. “From what I know of Kanye, he’s usually really honest. So it sounds like something he’s going through right now. He may [say] something like that, and then three weeks later he may be back to, ‘That’s my brother.’ But at this point, with everybody’s career, we’re a little too old for rap beef.”
During an Oct. 19 show in Seattle, Washington, Kanye aired out his feelings about Jay Z, revealing that Jay Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy, has never played with West’s kids, Saint and North. “I can’t take that s---, bro. Our kids ain’t never even played together,” he told the crowd during one of his famous rants.
Kanye also revealed he was hurt that Jay Z didn’t stop by his house after Kim Kardashian’s robbery incident in Paris. “Don’t call me, after the robbery and say, ‘How you feeling?’ You want to know how I’m feeling? Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house. Like we brothers.”
Jay Z, who likes to keep his personal life out of the eye of the public, has yet to comment on his “Watch the Throne” partner’s recent comments.
