  • Kanye West wants to enter a behavioral treatment center to be "a better human and a better dad," a report claims
  • West reportedly hasn't decided on which treatment facility to choose because he is worried about his privacy
  • The rapper reportedly also wants the facility to be "in a beautiful setting with a luxury component"

Kanye West is working on himself in order to be a "better human and better dad," a report has claimed.

Following his online outbursts in recent months, West, 44, appears to be taking a much-needed timeout from social media as he hasn't posted anything on Instagram since deleting all his posts last month.

An unnamed source told Page Six that the troubled rapper now wants to seek treatment and that he has asked his team to look at places "with a luxury component."

"West's team has been looking at treatment facilities for him," the insider said, adding that the Yeezy founder "wants to enter a behavioral treatment center to be a better human and a better dad."

West has yet to decide on which facility he wants to enter for treatment because he's "worried for his privacy and wants the place to be in a beautiful setting with a luxury component," according to the source.

The facilities the musician and his team have considered include upscale spots in Arizona, Thailand and Bali, the report said.

The "Gold Digger" rapper, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016, has resumed taking his medication, the source told Page Six.

West was hospitalized in 2016 and had to cancel the remainder of his "Saint Pablo Tour" dates. In 2020, he publicly called Kris Jenner "Kris Jong-Un" and claimed they were trying to hold him for involuntary psychiatric hospitalization.

At the time, his estranged wife Kim Kardashian defended him via a statement on her Instagram Story, which read in part: "As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this, or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand."

The reality star explained that West can often be misunderstood, especially when it comes to his words and actions that "can cause strong opinions and emotions."

"He is a brilliant but complicated person who, on top of the pressures of being an artist and a Black man, experienced the painful loss of his mother and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bipolar disorder," she wrote. "Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words do not align with his intentions."

Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021. Tensions rose between the exes after the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum began dating Pete Davidson in October last year, with West launching a series of public attacks against his estranged wife and her new boyfriend.

However, unnamed sources close to the Kardashian family told Page Six last week that West has agreed to stop harassing Kardashian and cyberbullying Davidson and that the "Donda" rapper is "going away to get help."

"For the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he's not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better," one insider told Page Six.

Following this report, the "Heartless" rapper skipped the Grammy Awards ceremony earlier this month and dropped out of his headlining performances at the upcoming Coachella 2022.

A rep for West confirmed his plans to work on himself in order to have a better co-parenting relationship with Kardashian, with whom he shares four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.

"At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is focused on raising their beautiful children," the rep said in a statement to Page Six last week.

Kardashian said in an ABC special that aired Wednesday that it wasn't easy taking the high road as she reflected on her public divorce from West.

However, the reality star said that she champions West speaking his truth, adding, "Kanye and I will always be family."
