Kim Kardashian is opening up about her public divorce from estranged husband Kanye West.

Kardashian, 41, and West, 44, have yet to finalize their divorce, more than a year after she filed the paperwork to end their marriage of nearly seven years. In recent months, tensions have risen between the exes as the rapper launched public attacks against the reality star and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson on social media.

In an ABC special that aired Wednesday night, Kardashian spoke about her ongoing divorce from West, telling Robin Roberts, "You want to take the high road and sometimes it's hard. I've always been a champion of him speaking his truth," according to People.

Kardashian, who shares four children — North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm — with West, said she is "really open and honest with" the kids about their split.

The Skims founder confirmed that her and West's eldest children are aware of their parents' ongoing differences and "know what's going on."

"You have to just be there for them," Kardashian said. "No matter what, even in this crazy life that we live, you just have to have a really open dialogue with your children. Kanye and I have had conversations. We have to talk daily for the kids so you know, I hate that it had to play out like that. But when it comes to family, I mean, Kanye and I will always be family."

"At the end of the day, I just want my kids to be happy and healthy, and think the world of their dad," she added. "And they do."

Wednesday's primetime special showed screenshots of West's since-deleted Instagram posts and snippets from his "Eazy" music videos, in which a Claymation version of Davidson is kidnapped and buried alive. "God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a--," he raps in the track.

Last month, the Yeezy founder also accused Kardashian of "antagonizing" him by allowing their North to post videos on TikTok and claimed that his estranged wife kept their eldest daughter from attending the "Donda 2" release event in Miami earlier this year.

The rapper's social media tirades in recent months led to a 24-hour Instagram suspension, and he was later pulled from performing at the 2022 Grammys.

An unnamed insider close to the Kardashians recently told Page Six that the Grammy winner has agreed to stop harassing Kardashian and cyberbullying her boyfriend.

The source claimed that the rapper told his ex that he won't be "making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better."

"At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children," a rep for West said in a statement to Page Six.

Kardashian, who was granted her request to be legally single in March, told Vogue in a recent interview that she wants to have a good co-parenting relationship with West and is always her "co-parent's biggest cheerleader" in front of their children.

"You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be, 'Your dad's the best,'" she explained. "Make sure you are your co-parent's biggest cheerleader, no matter what you're personally going through."
