Kim Kardashian Denies ‘Weird’ Van Jones Dating Rumors After Praising Pete Davidson Relationship

Although Kim Kardashian didn’t shut down rumors that she began dating CNN anchor Van Jones following news of her divorce from Kanye West, the reality star finally addressed speculation about the romance.

During an appearance on Jones’ Amazon Original podcast, “Uncommon Ground,” the duo addressed the “weird” dating rumor. The news personality opened the episode by poking some fun at the rumor.

“Now that we’re broken up, we can actually have a conversation in public,” Jones joked. “Best rumor ever.”

Jones admitted that he received extra attention from his social circle after being romantically linked to the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star.

Meanwhile, Kardashian revealed that she “didn’t really expect that” dating rumors would spread, but she thought the speculation “was funny.”

“I know! It was so weird,” Jones said. “But I tell you, being a big nerd, having all my guys from college calling, like, thinking I was like the hero. I was like, ‘No, we’re just working on trying to get people out of prison.’ But it was a cool rumor.”

Kardashian, who had recently filed for divorce from West when the dating rumors emerged, revealed that she had to deny the romance when questioned by those closest to her.

“So many people asked me also, and I was like, ‘You guys. I, like, just, need a minute before I’m out there.’ You know? Give me a minute at least.”

Kardashian and Jones sparked dating rumors after being spotted together but never addressed the extent of their relationship. The two formed a friendship over their dedication to prison reform.

Kardashian’s decision to address the dating rumors linking her to Jones comes after the SKIMS founder praised her relationship with “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson.

​​“I am a relationship kind of girl, for sure, and I wouldn’t be with someone if I didn’t plan on spending a lot of my time with them,” Kardashian said during an interview with Robin Roberts.

“Obviously, I want to take my time, but I’m very happy and very content. And, it’s such a good feeling just to be at peace.”

Kardashian and Davidson’s relationship appears to be turning serious as the couple has been introduced to each other’s families.

Caitlyn Jenner recently confirmed she met Davidson at her Malibu home. This comes after the comedian was spotted driving around with Kardashian’s eldest daughter, North West, over the weekend.
