Karen Gillan, 'Dr. Who' Star, Found Naked in NYC Hotel

Karen Gillan, the Scottish actress who plays Amy Pond on Dr. Who, was discovered naked and whimpering this morning in the hallway of New York's Ace Hotel.

A permanent guest of the Manhattan hotel was lured to his peephole at 7 a.m. by a disturbance coming from the hallway.

I went to the peephole and looked out. I saw a man at the lift who was looking back at someone who was attempting to open my door, he told the Daily Mail. The next thing I saw was a woman giving this person at my door two towels before getting into the lift and leaving.

He added: Then I saw this young woman, completely naked, trying to wrap two towels around her and not having much luck.

She then started to whimper and knock on my door. Seeing that she wasn't getting anywhere, she lay down with the towels covering her.

Gillan was staying at the Ace Hotel while on a BBC promotional trip to New York, joined by costar Matt Smith. She reportedly had been partying with coworkers in the hours leading up to the incident.

This girl looked as though she hadn't been to bed, another guest told the newspaper. Everyone who saw her thought she was completely zonked out.
