Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown Update: Tran Gets Emotional After Seeing Royalty, Says She ‘Always Wanted A Baby By Chris’

Chris Brown’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran had an emotional reaction after she saw the “Loyal” singer’s baby, a source told Hollywood Life. The 26-year-old model broke up with rapper Brown in March after she discovered he had fathered a child, but actually seeing the baby stirred intense feelings.

During a recent phone call with Brown's mother, Joyce Hopkins, Tran asked her about the singer’s 9-month-old daughter, Royalty. Hopkins, who has a good relationship with Tran, decided that Tran should see Royalty and arranged for a video call, the source reportedly said, adding that Brown was not aware of the incident.

“Karrueche started asking questions about [Royalty]. She asked Joyce what she’s like. Kae’s really only seen pictures of her online and asked Joyce if she looked more like Chris or her mother,” the source told Hollywood Life. “Joyce told her she looked like Chris and Karrueche said, ‘Well, I’m sure she’s cute as a button.'

“At that moment, she told Karrueche she’d call her right back and she did, but for this time, she FaceTimed her. Kae had answered it and it was Joyce and Royalty on the other end! Joyce wanted Kae to see Royalty’s beauty for herself," the source said.

The source reportedly said that Tran began crying after she saw Royalty and told Hopkins that "she had always wanted a baby by Chris,” adding: “She wanted him to experience being a father for the first time with her."

Hopkins, who according to the source, loves Tran like her own child and always wanted her to be with Brown, tried to console her.

Tran had earlier said in an interview that she was hurt after she found that Brown had a child with model Nia Guzman.

Last month, reports of reconciliation between Tran and Brown made the rounds, but the former slammed the rumors, stating that there are “no chances” the two could get back together.

"Karrueche wasn't surprised about the rumors because she is used to that in the media daily but when Chris tried to play it off like they are back together she had to say something," a source told Urban Islandz, a music news website. "There are no chances of reconciliation at this moment, Karrueche still loves Chris but she recognized that he has caused her a lot of pain and has decided to step out of that situation.”

Meanwhile, Brown is reportedly desperate to get back with Tran and has planned a surprise for her birthday on May 17. There have also been reports that Brown plans to propose Tran on her 27th birthday.
