Pete Davidson who? Kate Beckinsale looked very happy when she reunited with David Walliams years after the two of them were romantically linked to each other.

On Thursday, the “Underworld” actress took to Instagram to share a photo she took with the “Britain’s Got Talent” judge after their dinner date at celebrity hotspot Nobu. In the snap, the two are seen cheek-to-cheek with their bodies very close to each other.

Beckinsale poked fun at Walliams by calling her “dad” and writing, “Took my dad to Nobu because he loves really big fancy balls dangling over his head.” Many fans who didn’t know who David was actually thought that he’s her father, and some were even wondering since it’s long been disclosed that her biological father is deceased.

Kate and David are very good friends, but things seemingly took a different turn when they reportedly got pretty close back in 2016. The two of them were spotted getting cozy during a dinner date at Scotts restaurant in Mayfair that some sources claimed that they could have developed romantic feelings for each other. Beckinsale took the time to address the rumors back then and clarified that they’re just friends, according to The Sun.

The romance rumors between Beckinsale, 45, and Walliams, 47, somehow didn’t make sense because the “Serendipity” star has made no secret of her preference for younger men ever since she divorced director Len Wiseman, also 45, three years ago. She dated Matt Rife, 23, and Jack Whitehall, 30, after splitting from her husband of 12 years.

Early this year, Beckinsale raised some eyebrows when she got flirty with Davidson, 25, at Netflix’s 2019 Golden Globes after-party. She and the “Saturday Night Live” cast member also openly flaunted their romance in the months that followed. Unfortunately, they decided to end their relationship just recently without giving the specifics on what caused the breakup.

A source familiar with Kate and Pete’s relationship exclusively confirmed to Entertainment Tonight late last month that they were no longer dating after being together for months, but they’re still on good terms. “They’re still friendly but are not on romantic terms,” the source said.
