Kate Middleton And Prince William To Celebrate First Wedding Anniversary ?Privately? [PHOTOS]
Royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton, whose wedding was viewed by more than two billion people, are about to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
After being in the spotlight for a year, the couple wishes to celebrate their wedding anniversary, which is on April 29, away from the public eye.
A palace spokesman confirmed that the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge will spend their weekend privately. The couple will surely enjoy a quiet break after an eventful 12 months.
However, the spokesman did not reveal any further details about the celebrations.
The first wedding anniversary is traditionally known as paper and Kate and William might exchange gifts or go for romantic dinner, Daily Mail reported.
Their wedding was called the wedding of the century, but do not expect their anniversary to be as huge and royal as the wedding.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge probably have a flock of servants who could order or cook up a romantic meal for their private celebration, but they are bucking the formalities and doing something entirely different.
William is cooking for them. It's a joke between them that his culinary skills were what originally wooed Kate all those years ago. They'll probably watch a DVD and reflect on the past year. They really are old before their time, and it's not very glamorous, but they're very happy, Grazia Daily reported quoting a friend of the couple.
The Duke and Duchess got married on April 29, 2011, at The Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster, also known as the Westminster Abbey, in London.
After taking vows, the couple moved to Buckingham Palace where they shared the much-awaited kiss.
