Kate Middleton ‘Driven Away’ From William After Friends Made ‘Snobby Jibes’ At Carole
Kate Middleton tried her best to fit into Prince William’s circle when they started dating. But her attempts reportedly eventually became too taxing after the Duke of Cambridge’s friends started making snobby jibes at her mom, Carole Middleton.
While speaking with Daily Mirror, royal correspondent Vanessa Allen revealed how Prince William’s pals would ridicule Carole’s former career, the way she spoke, and they also dubbed her as pushy, twee, and incredibly middle-class.
At first, the Duchess of Cambridge tried to laugh off the jibes, but they eventually became worse. And all of this drove her away from the second in line to the throne.
“Pals say she felt increasingly isolated and abandoned at realizing she would never be accepted by William’s aristo circle, which includes well-heeled chums such as Guy Pelly and William van Cutsem,” she said.
But according to the royal expert, it didn’t also take Prince William very long to realize how offensive the jibes directed at Carole have become. He couldn’t understand where they were coming from because he enjoyed Carole’s company.
“The down-to-earth Prince, 24, enjoyed relaxing informally with her at her family’s £1million five-bedroom house near Newbury, Berks, where Carole lives with former pilot husband Michael. But he could not get away from the fact his future mother-in-law was looked down upon in senior royal circles,” Allen said.
Less than a month after the story was published, Prince William and Middleton decided to go their separate ways. But it has been revealed that Carole didn’t have anything to do with their breakup.
According to a royal expert, Prince William wanted to sow his wild oats, and he also wanted to make sure that he wasn’t missing out on anything. And since none of the women that he was interested in showed that they were interested in him as well, Prince William eventually decided to get back together with Middleton. On June 9, 2007, the couple quietly rekindled their romance.
