Kate Middleton Had Stepping Stones Installed In Her Garden For This Touching Reason
Kate Middleton requested for stepping stones to be installed into her play and learn place at the Hampton Court Palace’s Garden Festival.
The Duchess of Cambridge specifically asked for stepping stones, and she shared the reason behind this. While speaking with Jake Catling, the director of the Landscaping Consultants, Middleton revealed that the stepping stones are there because of her eldest son, Prince George.
“We made the stepping stones because Prince George wanted them. The kids loved jumping across it and it was down to Kate that we got that in,” Catling told Hello! magazine.
The Duchess of Cambridge also revealed that she received some help from Princess Charlotte in making her garden. The 4-year-old helped the future Queen Consort find pinecones for the children’s treasure hunt.
According to Middleton, there are eight pinecones in her play and learn place at the garden festival. As of late, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have not visited their mom’s garden.
But Middleton welcomed a group of adorable youngsters earlier this week. The children were from the Anna Freud Center, Evelina Children’s Hospital, Action for Children, and Place2Be.
Middleton was photographed bonding with the kids and playing with them. She is also seen smiling from ear to ear while guiding a young girl across her garden. The Duchess of Cambridge also enjoyed a picnic and a treasure hunt game with her visitors.
According to Express, the mom of three’s garden at the Hampton Court Palace was inspired by the garden she created for the Chelsea Flower Show weeks ago. During her first garden display, Middleton received a visit from her three children and husband, Prince William. The Duke of Cambridge looked especially adorable on that day while playing with his kids.
Meanwhile, Catling, Middleton was very hands-on in creating her garden at this week’s festival.
“She was very hands on, it’s fantastic. She came and did lots of planting and directing everyone around and got involved in the mulching,” Catling said.
