Kate Middleton ‘Lost Identity,’ Made ‘More Compromises’ To Fit Prince William’s Family

Kate Middleton made sacrifices when she joined the royal family by marrying Prince William just like what Meghan Markle did when she decided to be with Prince Harry.

According to Marcia Moody in her book “Kate: A Biography,” at one point, the Duchess of Cambridge lost her identity after her friendship with Prince William turned romantic. Between the two, Middleton was expected to make more effort and sacrifices for the royal.

“By this point, some who knew them both had remarked that Kate seemed to perhaps be losing her identity,” Moody wrote.

“It was inevitable that Kate would need to fit to him more than he would have to fit to her, so she inevitably needed to make more compromises and sacrifices,” the royal author added.

Prince William and Middleton were just another couple at the university. However, there are a lot of things that Prince William and the royal family considered “normal” that are not really “normal” to average people standards.

The good thing with this is that Middleton’s efforts have paid off. The future queen consort is doing good in her job and has been very close to Her Majesty. Queen Elizabeth II even gave Middleton a lot of favor and they have become allies over the years.

The Duchess of Sussex also made huge sacrifices when she chose to be with Prince Harry for good. Markle, who was catapulted to fame following her hit series “Suits,” decided to quit her acting career. She also opted to move to London and leave her life in California. However, unlike Markle, Middleton was a “stealth missile.”

For over a decade, Middleton has been the closest person to the future king, Prince William. However, she only slipped into the public’s consciousness after her engagement with Prince William was announced.

Middleton entered Prince William’s life unnoticed and she remained that way for years. On the other hand, Prince Harry and Markle only dated for a few months when the media learned about their romance. Since Markle was a Hollywood actress, her royal romance with Prince Harry wasn’t easy to hide. Both Prince Harry and Prince William also issued statements to protect their then girlfriends from the media when the press started to harass them.
