Kate Middleton just made a heartbreaking confession about her life one year after giving birth to Prince George.

This week, the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Ely and Caerau Children’s Center in Cardiff, Wales. While there, she told a group of people that it’s nice to be back in Wales.

Her return also prompted the future queen to recall what her life was like while Prince William was serving in the Royal Air Force.

Middleton shared that she took Prince George to the middle of Anglesey while Prince William was working with the search and rescue team, and she felt really isolated and cut off.

“I didn't have any family around, and he was doing night shifts. So…if only I had had a center like this,” she said.

Other than sharing what life was like years ago, Middleton also talked about the Five Big Questions survey, a questionnaire that is aimed at generating a bigger conversation on early childhood.

"Parents, careers, and families are at the heart of caring for children in the formative years, so that is why I want to listen to them. As a parent I know how much we cherish the future health and happiness of our children,” she said.

Prince William’s wife went on to say that she wants to hear what key issues are affecting families so that she can focus her work on where it is needed the most.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only time that Middleton made a heartbreaking confession about Prince George and her other children.

Earlier this month, a source told Us Weekly that the Duchess of Cambridge desperately wants her kids to spend more time with their cousin, Archie.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Cosmopolitan that Archie has only spent a handful of times with his cousins, which means that they barely know each other. By the looks of it, hanging out would become even more difficult now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be splitting their time between London and Canada.
