Kate Middleton May Miss Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding For This Reason
Kate Middleton may skip Princess Eugenie’s wedding on Oct. 12 if her younger sister, Pippa Middleton, will give birth on the same day.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s nuptials will take place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Members of the royal family are expected to attend. But if Pippa will give birth to her first child on the same day, it is highly likely that the Duchess of Cambridge will choose to be with her sister.
Francesca Specter, a journalist for Express, thinks this will be the case since the Middletons are close to each other. When Prince William’s wife gave birth to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Pippa visited her at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Last month, Pippa announced that she’s official through her first trimester. This means that her baby is due sometime in October. However, it is also possible for Pippa to give birth at a later date.
Specter also said that Pippa will most likely not be invited to Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank’s Oct. 12 royal wedding. After all, Princess Eugenie has no relationship with Pippa. The 34-year-old only attended the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19 because Prince Harry is close to Middleton and Pippa.
In related news, Princess Eugenie’s fiancé is not expected to receive a royal title from Queen Elizabeth II because he is classified as a commoner. However, the monarch may still reward him with a title as a wedding present.
James Brookes, a royal expert, told Express, “Eugenie and her sister Beatrice are styled as Princesses so it wouldn’t be unusual if the Queen offered Jack a title – most likely Earldom. Of course, it’s down to personal choice as to whether he accepts it. Princess Anne’s first husband Mark Phillips turned down a title it’s thought, hence why Zara and Peter don’t have one of their own.”
