Kate Middleton May Officially Return To Royal Duties During This Event
Kate Middleton may officially return to her royal duties in less than two months.
According to Ainhoa Barcelona, a journalist for Hello!, the Duchess of Cambridge may have an engagement planned for World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10. Last year, when the royal was still expecting Prince Louis she had a break after her pregnancy announcement due to severe morning sickness. However, she made her first public appearance on the same event.
Middleton attended the World Mental Health Day that honored the people working in the mental health sector across the UK. She arrived with husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry. The royal trio are active mental health advocates and has been working together for this cause.
Middleton arrived in the event in a blue Temperley London dress. It was the first time that she flaunted her growing baby bump. The duchess looked stress-free and was noticeably in her best condition on the said outing.
Prior to making her first public appearance after announcing her third pregnancy, Middleton appeared in an animation titled "Talking Mental Health" by Anna Freud NCCF. In the clip, she introduced the animation and encouraged the viewers to learn to open up.
"Hello, mental health is how we feel and think things that can't really be seen but that affect us every day and talking about them can feel difficult," Middleton says. "A charity called the Anna Freud National Center for Children and Families (AFNCCF) have made this animation with children just like you."
Middleton is the patron of AFNCCF and has been very supportive of the charity. In fact, last November she attended the AFNCCF gala.
The Duchess of Cambridge arrived in a floor-length black lace dress from Diane von Furstenberg. She accessorized with a Prada clutch bag and poppy brooch to mark the Remembrance Day. Middleton also borrowed the Queen's diamond Quatrefoil bracelet for the said event and paired it with diamond pendant earrings.
Middleton is currently on maternity leave, but she is expected to be back on her duties in October. "It is traditional for new royal mums to take a six-month break from official engagements," Duncan Larcombe said. "If she wanted, Kate could disappear into the background until October!"
