Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle ‘Polar Opposites’ For This Shocking But Unsurprising Reason

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are polar opposites, according to one royal commentator.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are often compared to each other, from their fashion to the way they act in public. Royal commentator Rupert Bell analyzed Markle’s recent extravagant baby shower in New York and concluded that the two duchesses aren’t similar at all for a shocking but unsurprising reason.

According to him, Markle is not intimidated by the royal family. She added that the former actress wanted to be herself and to run her own show. “It is good for her that she is confident that she is not intimidated by the royal family,” he said about Markle.

“That is one of the reasons she wanted to get away from being cooped up at Kensington Palace because she felt that all four of them together, it was too much, she wanted breathing space away so she could be herself and run her own sort of show as it were,” he continued.

Bell added that Markle is her own person and wants to continue to operate that way in that environment. She apparently wants to show everyone that she “may be about to have a baby but if I want to throw a party I can do it.”

Markle’s move isn’t surprising anymore. Prior to her royal wedding to Prince Harry, she has made headlines several times for violating royal protocol.

On the other hand, Middleton is Markle’s complete opposite because the Duchess of Cambridge is “traditional.” She follows what the royal family believes.

“We have got the polar opposite in a confident American, who has had a successful career in her own right, coming into an organisation where they like things done, where the knives and forks are put in the right place,” Bell said.

Markle’s lavish baby shower received a lot of criticism, despite reports that the event was privately funded by her friends, Amal Clooney and Serena Williams. A number of Markle’s critics weren’t impressed with the outrageous money spent on the event while the poor families in the U.K. struggle to feed their children.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle’s marriage is rumored to be in trouble. On the other hand, Prince William and Middleton are enjoying a ski trip together with their kids.
