Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle Shocking Comparisons: Duchesses Have Taken Different Approaches To Parenting

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been compared to each other ever since the latter joined the royal family. And when the Duchess of Sussex became a mom, more comparisons were made by experts.

While speaking with Express, Zoe Bonser, the show director at The Baby Show, said that there was so much anticipation when it comes to the kind of the mom Markle would be before she had Archie. After all, some royal fans were wondering if she will follow in Middleton’s footsteps.

“However, as time progresses it’s clear that Meghan and Kate have both taken different approaches to bring up their little ones. The most notable is that Meghan takes a much more modern approach to parenting while Kate appears to stick to tradition. Meghan trusts in her own decisions and makes her own way when it comes to motherhood, taking influence from others outside of the Royal Family,” he said.

Another stark difference between the sisters-in-law has to do with Prince Harry and Markle’s desire to give their son, Archie a private life. They recently decided to quit the royal family to give Archie a normal life, and they didn’t also give him a royal title after his birth.

Prince William and Middleton, on the other hand, also want Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to have normal upbringings. However, they are aware of their children’s future roles in the British monarchy.

“Kate is seen as more traditional and this probably down to the responsibilities that Prince George will have one day. For instance, the children are always dressed in traditional British clothing for public appearances and Kate is happy for them to appear in photo calls,” she said.

Bonser isn’t the only person who compared Middleton and Markle’s parenting style. Earlier this year, royal expert Martina Mercer also said that Markle’s parenting style is more modern compared to Middleton’s traditional approach.

Mercer also said that Prince Harry and Markle are just like other parents who are protective of their son.
