Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have no beef with each other, but they also aren't best friends, according to one source.

This week, it was confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are leaving Kensington Palace. Many were surprised as the couple was initially set to move to a bigger apartment within the palace grounds. However, insiders claimed that Prince Harry and Markle didn't want to live near Prince William and Middleton due to tension with the Duke of Cambridge.

Another source said that it was actually Middleton and Markle who have issues with each other, and their rift was forcing Prince Harry to leave the palace and move to Frogmore. According to Richard Palmer, a royal correspondent for Express, the two duchesses have no "fallout" but just can't be best friends.

"There has been no major fallout, according to those who know the couples, but just a realisation that the two women are unlikely ever to be best friends," Palmer wrote.

But whether or not there is tension between them now, a year ago this wasn't the case. Prince Harry and Markle previously gushed about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and how they welcomed the latter into the fold.

"And then William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine, so you know being our neighbours we managed to get that in a couple of - well quite a few times now and Catherine has been absolutely," Prince William said.

"Wonderful," Markle interjected.

"Amazing, as has William as well," Prince Harry continued.

Earlier, Charlotte Wace and Charlotte Griffiths of Daily Mail claimed that there were issues between Middleton and Markle. Insiders told them that the two don't get along well with each other.

"Kate and Meghan are very different people," the insider said. "They don’t really get on."

In related news, Middleton has reportedly been exerting effort to distinguish herself from her royal sister-in-law. The Duchess of Cambridge has decided to adopt a new accessory - a headband, which fashion experts described as "regal."

"This is definitely a more regal style that Kate is wearing. The style of the headbands are very similar to a tiara but can be worn on most royal engagements," stylist Rochelle White said. "I think Kate could be trying to distinguish herself from Meghan. They have been compared a lot recently in regards to their fashion choices, styles and colour palettes."

"Kate has fine-tuned her style and status over the years and I think this is her becoming more confident in her royal role," she continued.
