Kate Middleton Shares Secret About University Days During UCL Visit
Kate Middleton recently shared a rare glimpse of her university days during her visit to University College London.
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge attended UCL's Developmental Risk and Resilience Unit in the Psychology and Language Sciences Division to learn more about neuroscience and how environmental factors will affect the children's development. During the event, Middleton, who has a degree in history of art, revealed that she took another course when she was a freshman at St. Andrews University, where she met Prince William.
"I started off doing psychology at St Andrews, with history of art," Middleton said (via Express). "It was a bit full on, but it was really interesting."
Middleton rarely talks about her time in university. However, it remains a subject of interest as this was where she and Prince William met. As for their first meeting, the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly caught Prince William's attention by wearing a see-through dress during a fashion show.
"She walked out in basically a bra and knickers and not much else," Ashley Pearson said. "She looked beautiful – young and fresh and natural. She really got William's attention."
"For all that has been said about Kate's somewhat dull maybe, somewhat pedestrian personality, the girl knows how to get attention when she wants it," she added. "And she did a really good job that day of getting the attention of probably the one man whose attention she really wanted."
In 2013, the couple began dating and lived together during their second year at the university. The couple confirmed this during their engagement interview.
"We moved in together as friends and then because we were living together – we lived with a couple of others as well – and it just sort of blossomed from there really," Prince William said during their engagement interview. "We saw more of each other and hug out a bit more and did stuff so, yeah."
During the interview, Middleton even teased Prince William about her cooking skills. "You liked my cooking?" the duchess asked. "Well, your cooking was alright. It's got better," the duke responded.
