Kate Middleton Needs To ‘Support’ Prince William Even If He Cheats, Netizens Claim
Kate Middleton has been married to Prince William for eight years, and she has a responsibility to her husband and their children.
On the online forum site Quora, royal fans are discussing the Duchess of Cambridge’s duties as Prince William’s wife. Majority of them said that it is her responsibility to give the Duke of Cambridge children so that they will have heir to the throne for decades to come.
But Ambika Shetty Khan, who studied the British royal family, gave an entirely different answer. She said that other than producing heirs for Prince William, it is also Middleton’s responsibility to support the future king.
“Next is support husband, children and other royals and remain loyal forever even if your husband cheats on you. Lastly, stay calm, keep your opinions to yourself and move on,” she said.
Earlier this year, rumors swirled that Prince William cheated on his wife with Rose Hanbury. Even though no confirmation has been made regarding the alleged affair, some royal fans were convinced that the cheating actually happened. However, there are also those who think that the claims are nothing more than rumors.
Meanwhile, Iqbal Bagus Alfiansyah, who is interested in royals and monarchies, said that Middleton also has duties to the royal family and the British monarchy.
“She would undertake royal duties by herself or her husband, frequently appear in public, or even be chased by notorious paparazzi. She takes part in various annual royal engagements. She participates in the Queen’s birthday celebrations Trooping the Colour, including riding the royal coach and appearing on the balcony,” he said.
Middleton is also tasked to accompany Prince William during the Order of the Garter ceremony. The Duchess of Cambridge also needs to attend state banquets organized by Queen Elizabeth to honor the heads of states visiting the United Kingdom.
“She and her husband, and most of the time their children too made overseas trips representing the Queen,” he said.
