She’s already a mom of three, but seeing the relationship and bond her kids all share is reportedly influencing Kate Middleton’s desire to have one more kid with Prince William.

According to Us Weekly, the Duchess of Cambridge “would love to have one more child,” and it’s likely because watching her current three kids—Prince George,6, Princess Charlotte, 4 and Prince Louis, 18 months—as they grow up together had been a pleasurable thing for her, and it adds to the yearning she has for another little one.

“They love playing together and being creative,” a source told the publication. “Painting, baking and building things are all activities they enjoy, and now that Louis’ a bit older, he gets involved too.”

The comment comes shortly after the pair went on a five-day tour of Pakistan, which forced them to step away from their kids, and the joy of seeing them again when they came back may also be contributing to the desire for more.

“William and Kate had a blast on the royal tour,” another source said. “The only downfall was that they missed the kids. But on a positive note, they’ve returned to London just in time for half terms and are planning to spend quality time with all three kids!”

Of course, while it’s previously been reported that Middleton has a desire to have another child, there’s also been several reports that state it likely it won’t happen, mainly because of her past issues with hyperemesis gravidarum. However, it was also recently revealed that she and her husband may not plan on having another child because of changes to royal rules in recent years.

When the rules about the line of succession changed a few years ago, they contained a provision that stated only the next six heirs in line for the throne would be required to seek permission from a ruling monarch to marry a chosen partner. Because of their unique positions in line for the throne, the pair, who will one day be King and Queen Consort, may not want to have more kids so as not to have to apply different rules to their own kids.

As it stands, the rule could even affect them once their children are older, depending on the number of kids each one has. If Prince George and Princess Charlotte have enough kids to take up those six spots before Louis marries, then he will not need to seek the same permission or be held to the same requirements as his siblings.
