Is Kate Middleton Pregnant? Why This Comment Could Be Hint About Baby No. 4

Fans are sure to get back into a royal betting frenzy when it comes to speculation that Kate Middleton is set to welcome a fourth child with Prince William following a new comment the Duchess of Cambridge made that could be a hint on where she stands on the issue.

Following comments about potentially having a fourth child during a visit to Northern Ireland in February, the Duchess of Cambridge stirred the pot again by commenting during a visit with toddlers at the Henry Fawcett Children’s Centre in South London this week that one of her favorite things in her life is getting hugs from her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Though that comment specifically doesn’t indicate that the Duchess is thinking about having a fourth child, when combined with her other comments about the possibility, as well as previous betting odds, it seems more and more likely that a baby announcement could be coming in the near future.

Ladbrokes has odds at 5/2 for an announcement in 2019 and 10/1 for an actual birth this year. Meanwhile, bookmakers Coral have also slashed their odds on Middleton announcing she is pregnant in 2019 to 1/ 2.

“We have been knocked over in the last 24 hours on Kate Middleton announcing she is expecting her fourth child in 2019 and often with these gambles, there is no smoke without fire,” Coral’s John Hill told Express UK. “It’s set to be another big year for the Royal family with further arrivals and if this latest gamble is correct, it could be extended even further.”

However, it is still worth noting that while Middleton could theoretically announce a pregnancy later this year, it’s unlikely she is currently pregnant. The Duchess of Cambridge famously suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of morning sickness, during all three of her prior pregnancies, and as a result, sat out from many engagements during the earlier months of her pregnancies. As of now, she has not missed any of her engagements, meaning she is likely not pregnant at the moment.
