Kate Middleton and Prince William are more preferred by the Brits compared to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, according to a recent poll.

Based on the 2019 Opinium Monarchy Tracker survey participated by 2,003 UK adults, more Brits like the Duchess of Cambridge than the Duchess of Sussex. The survey was carried out after Prince Harry and Markle welcomed their baby boy, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Only 39 percent shared a positive view of Markle. Meanwhile, 69 percent supported Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge was only eight percent behind Queen Elizabeth II, Express reported.

Although Markle is a big hit on Instagram, the poll revealed that she’s actually the second least-liked female royal after Camilla Parker Bowles. The Duchess of Cornwall only received 24 percent approval rating.

“If you only ever read what your followers say you end up with a very skewed view of the world,” one courtier said explaining how the poll pierces Markle’s social media bubble.

Markle’s public support only increases when she is with her husband Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex was liked by 70 percent of the Brits.

However, Prince William proved to be more popular than his younger brother with a 73 percent approval rating. The Duke of Cambridge was actually the most popular royal in the survey. Prince Charles trailed behind with only 40 percent just the same as Prince Philip’s rating.

The British monarchy received an overall support of 63 percent.

“As British politics remains turbulent and its place in Europe uncertain, it's good to see support for a longstanding British institution,” Priya Minhas at Opinium said about the result of the poll.

Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced baby Archie to the world. The couple was very delighted when they appeared as a family of three for the first time.

Prince William and Middleton did the same when they made Prince George’s public debut almost six years ago. However, the Duke of Cambridge revealed that he was actually “shocked” and “high” during the photocall. He was also delighted that many wanted to see his son.

On the other hand, Middleton kept on worrying about Princess Charlotte on her public debut. The royal mom was thinking that her daughter would get cold despite Prince William’s assurance that she won’t.
