Kate Middleton, Prince William Have New Royal Neighbors After Harry, Meghan Left
Kate Middleton and Prince William will have new royal neighbors after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are occupying Apartment 1A at the Kensington Palace. Just recently, their closest neighbor, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, vacated Apartment 1 to downsize.
Initially, there were talks that Prince Harry and Markle would be residing in the newly vacated space. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex already moved to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor and have decided to have a separate household from Prince William and Middleton. They are no longer under Kensington Palace, so the Cambridges’ new neighbor are unlikely to be the Sussexes.
According to The Sun, Apartment 1 has 21 rooms and an adjoining door to the Cambridges’ apartment. It is an ideal home for a couple starting a family which makes Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank a good fit. The couple who tied the knot a year ago are living at Ivy Cottage.
However, some royal sources claimed that Princess Beatrice who is ready to start a family right away with her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi might be the royal to live next to Prince William and Middleton. At present, Princess Beatrice and her husband-to-be currently live at St. James’ Palace.
The Buckingham Palace has yet to comment about the new residents who will be occupying the apartments next to the future king and queen consort. However, some sources said that the Gloucesters are “reluctant to give it up” because they have been living in the sprawling apartment for years.
In related news, a sweet adorable video of Middleton and Prince William wrapping their arms around each other has resurfaced. A royal fan who is very excited with their upcoming Pakistan tour shared the couple’s rare PDA on Twitter.
The sweet video was taken during the Olympics 2012 in London’s Velodrome. Prince William can be seen grabbing Middleton’s waist while the duchess responds warmly by putting her arms around her husband’s neck.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are bound to visit Pakistan from Oct. 14 to 18. Prior to their tour, the couple said that they are excited for the food. Middleton confessed that their family loves curry, but she finds it difficult to cook.
