When it comes to the royal family, if it isn't one thing, it's another. Well, now it's another. The latest thing that has fans up in arms is how Prince William chose to say happy birthday to his brother, Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex turned 35 on Sunday, and his older brother took to social media to acknowledge the day. The Kensington Royal account posted a photo of the brothers sharing a laugh.

"Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today," the Instagram caption read followed by the birthday cake emoji.

Many followers applauded the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's birthday message.

The Sun reported one user commented, "This is a very beautiful and loving birthday wish from a big brother. Classy. Always love the Cambridges."

Meanwhile, another wrote, "Prince William and Duchess Catherine = pure class."

Others weren't as easily impressed, according to Cosmopolitan.

"This message is so cold and not from the heart. It's so sad," one follower shared while another seemed to agree, "He could've sent a more heartfelt message then this generic one. This is his only little brother."

Kate and Prince William aren't the first royals to face a slew of haters. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry received the same sort of response when they wished Prince George happy birthday back in July.
