The Sussexes and Cambridges probably won't be staying under the same roof when they pay a visit to Queen Elizabeth at Balmoral Castle this year, and it's caused speculation around the two families' relationships with each other. However, a source close to the palace claims there is a much simpler answer for the separation: space.

“The Queen has a lot of guests coming and to ease the pressure the Cambridges are likely to stay at the cottage," the insider said, according to Express. “That could have added benefits for everyone as it means more space in the castle.”

While the Cambridge's get to enjoy their own cottage, the British publication explains that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are "expected to be set up in the main house" with Archie Harrison.

Speculation that the families are feuding with each other has gone on for months now, most recently due to the Cambridge's being photographed taking a commercial flight amid Meghan and Prince Harry receiving backlash for their use of private jets.

Feud or not, each family would most likely enjoy having their own space among the Queen and all of her other visitors.
