Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children went on a secret, "last-minute" getaway before summer ended, a report said.
Before the start of the school year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided to have a short family trip and took their three kids, Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2, to the Isles of Scilly.
"It was a low-key, last-minute getaway and the family didn’t stand out from the crowd," a source told Us Weekly. "They visited Tresco Abbey Gardens, rode their bikes, took a boat trip and went to the beach."
The source explained that the future king wanted his kids to get a "taste of his upbringing." The Prince and Princess of Wales used to bring him and younger brother Prince Harry to the same place when they were children.
"He’d already told George, Charlotte and Louis so many fun stories about the times he’d spent there with Charles, Diana and Harry during his childhood, and wanted them to experience it for themselves," the source said. "Being in Tresco brought back so many fond memories."
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis apparently enjoyed the trip as much as their dad did when he was a child. The source shared that the third in line to the British throne loved the plants and trees in Tresco Abby Gardens as well as boat riding.
"The kids loved Tresco. George’s favorite part of the trip was seeing all the different plants and trees in Tresco Abbey Gardens and going on the boat," the tipster continued.
In related news, royal correspondents Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand made revelations about Prince William and Middleton in their book on the Sussexes, "Finding Freedom." Excerpts from the upcoming biography revealed that Prince Harry once wanted to raise his own family close to the Cambridges and hoped that his future children would be best friends with their cousins.
Apparently, the Duke of Sussex had a change of heart after meeting and marrying Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced back in January that they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
Shortly after carrying out their final royal engagement, they flew to the United States with their son, Archie. Prince Harry and Markle are currently living in Los Angeles and are thousands of miles away from Prince William and Middleton.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl, author of “Harry and Meghan,” claimed that Prince Harry had always wanted to break free from his brother and sister-in-law. She added that Markle served as Prince Harry's "catalyst" by giving him the confidence to move forward with his plans.
