Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth Prove They’re Not Divas By Holding Own Umbrella
Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth II, Meghan Markle, and the other members of the royal family have rocked umbrellas in public at least once.
Town & Country compiled a series of photos of the royals holding their own umbrellas, which prove that they really are not divas.
Just recently, the Duchess of Cambridge was photographed carrying her black umbrella with a golden handle when she visited Blackpool with Prince William. The heavy rain forced the mom of three to carry her own umbrella on her way to her royal engagement.
Last year, Prince Harry and Markle went to Australia for their first overseas tour. At that time, the couple was photographed walking on the sand. Prince Harry is holding a huge umbrella over his and Markle’s head.
Prior to this, the Duchess of Sussex also proved how loving and supportive she is of her husband. While Prince Harry gave a speech in front of a massive crowd, the “Suits” alum held an umbrella over his head. Markle also stared lovingly into Prince Harry’s face while he was giving his speech.
Queen Elizabeth II, who is the reigning monarch, has never shied away from carrying her own umbrella in public either. Two years ago, she held one over her head while inspecting the Scots Guards.
In 2016, Prince Harry and Prince William carried two umbrellas separately and they used it to help cover Middleton’s head. On Christmas Day of 2015, the Queen also used a red umbrella that matched her all-red ensemble while standing outside St. Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham.
On July 6, 2015, Prince Charles was photographed holding an umbrella over his and Anthony McPartlin’s head. The TV presenter even made a face to show how appreciative he was of the future King.
And in 2014, Prince William followed Middleton with his umbrella in tow as they made their way to their royal engagement. Prince William and Middleton have only been married for three years at that time.
