Kate Middleton recently shared a slew of stories about her pregnancy, the birth of her children, and the struggles that she and Prince William faced with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
On the podcast “Happy Mum Happy Baby,” the Duchess of Cambridge talked about the time when Prince William received praises for successfully latching Prince George on to his car seat hours after he was born.
The future queen said that it took Prince William a couple of tries before he became familiar with how to use a car seat.
“We’d even tried to practice with a little baby, like a little doll at home, but you know it just never works out the way you planned it so it was quite hard to do that on the world’s stage, but no, he did a very good job,” Middleton gushed.
Middleton also took a trip down memory lane when she tried to recall what it was like seeing Prince George for the first time. The mom of three said that the moment was really special for her and Prince William.
However, just like other first-time moms, the Duchess of Cambridge also admitted that she felt slightly terrified during her pregnancy and the birth of her eldest son.
Middleton also revealed that she resorted to hypnobirthing to help her with her three pregnancies. The technique involves visualizing birth in a positive manner to help pregnant moms calm down especially when they go into labor.
“I saw the power of it really, the meditation and the deep breathing and things like that - that they teach you in hypnobirthing - when I was really sick and actually, I realized that this was something I could take control of, I suppose, during labor. It was hugely powerful and because it had been so bad during pregnancy, I actually really quite liked labor! Because actually it was an event that I knew there was going to be an ending to,” she said.
