Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s differences in terms of fashion have been revealed.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex have been praised for their fashion. Whatever they wear tend to sell out in minutes. There is no doubt that Middleton and Markle are among the best-dressed women of their generation, but their fashion choices have distinct differences, Daily Mail first reported.

1. Bold Colors vs. Neutral Shades

Middleton, the future queen consort, tends to follow Queen Elizabeth II’s choice of colors. Prince William’s wife has been spotted out and about in various engagements wearing bold hues like maroon, purple, green, red and yellow. Middleton looks great in bright and bold colors just like Queen Elizabeth II.

“Kate does wear coloured clothes, but they are often mid length and tailored,” Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.

“She wears rather demure outfits, as she is dressing as the future Queen.”

However, Middleton doesn’t wear orange. According to style expert Daisy Schubert, the shade looks less flattering on Middleton and the duchess “would look dreadful” in it.

On the other hand, Markle favors neutral shades like black, gray, navy and dark green. These shades complement her more relaxed and edgy approach to style.

2. Prints vs. Solids

Middleton and Markle have different taste when it comes to their outfits’ design. The Duchess of Cambridge is fond of printed clothes. Middleton has been seen wearing dresses with wild patterns and bold prints.

On the other hand, Markle tends to play it safe in this area by wearing solids. Unlike Middleton, Markle prefers plain wardrobes. The Duchess of Sussex is often seen wearing plain white or plain black outfits.

3. Conservative vs. Modern

In this area, Markle takes more of the modern approach compared to the future queen. She even donned an off-the-should dress during Trooping the Colour which prompted many to criticize her for breaking the royal protocol. Also, instead of wearing dresses which is expected from a female royal, Markle is confident in rocking pants.

On the other hand, Middleton favors ladylike A-line dresses that hit just above the knee. However, the royal mom of three is starting to broaden her fashion style. Just recently, Middleton looked stunning at the Natural History Museum in London in her jumper and culottes.
