Kate Middleton Wore Second Wedding Dress Made Of Satin For This Simple Reason

The white attire, designed by Sarah Burton, featured a sweetheart neckline. The material used was mostly satin, and it was adorned with shiny embellishments around the waist.

Middleton wore her second wedding dress to her reception, and in the photos released before she made her way to the venue, it was revealed that she also donned a furry cropped jacket.

According to Express, the Duchess of Cambridge must have opted to wear a second wedding dress to her special day because she wanted to be more comfortable while eating, chatting with friends, and dancing with Prince William.

On her special day, the mom of three wore a stunning gown designed by Alexander McQueen. Middleton’s main wedding dress featured a lowered neckline and intricate sleeves with floral patterns.

Even though Middleton looked like the most beautiful bride that day, it was evident that her wedding gown was very heavy. As such, she had to wear a second dress that was lighter so that she could move around much freely.

Meanwhile, Prince William’s wife is not the only royal who wore two dresses on her wedding day. Meghan Markle’s first wedding dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller.

Even though the Duchess of Sussex’s dress looked much simpler than Middleton’s gown, she still changed to an even simpler one when she attended her wedding reception.

However, Markle’s wedding dress became talked about for all the wrong reasons. A source told Daily Mail that Queen Elizabeth II was surprised to see Prince Harry’s wife in a white dress.

“The Queen is said to have expressed surprise that Meghan, a divorcee, wore quite such a white dress for her wedding,” the source said.
