Prince William and Kate Middleton’s daughter Princess Charlotte has a new obsession.

According to Express, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s only daughter inherited Queen Elizabeth II’s passion for horses. The 4-year-old royal is reportedly “obsessed with horses” that she asked for a pony for Christmas.

“Charlotte takes after Queen Elizabeth and is obsessed with horses. She’s asked for a pony, but might have to wait until next year because William thinks she’s too young,” an insider revealed.

The insider added that Princess Charlotte won’t be disappointed because her parents prepared a great surprise for her. Her older brother Prince George will also receive what he wants this holiday season.

“They’ve bought her a toy riding centre, which comes with all the accessories and a children’s karaoke machine! George is really into tennis and has asked for a new racket and a football table,” the insider added.

Aside from those presents, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will also reportedly receive children’s cookery sets because both of them love to make a mess in the kitchen. The source didn’t reveal what was in store for Prince William and Middleton’s youngest child, Prince Louis.

The royals’ fondness for horses is in their blood. Princess Anne and Zara Tindall are also very popular for their love for horses. Prince George was also said to be taking up the same hobby.

Prince William and Middleton were reportedly so keen on getting Prince George into riding. Since he is too small, they did not want to put him on a big horse and asked Zara to use her Shetland ponies instead. Zara did not disappoint them.

Also, just like Princess Charlotte, Prince George has his own obsession. Prince William revealed earlier that the third-in-line to the throne is obsessed with tractors. The Duke of Cambridge even regretted not taking his son when he visited the Duchy of Cornwall Estate because he knew Prince George would love it.

When Prince George was young, he was also engrossed in dinosaurs. According to paleontologist Kenneth Lavocara, this is not surprising because children between 2 and 6 are interested in planes, trains, cars and dinosaurs.
