Kate Middleton’s ‘Fun’ Meetings With Queen Elizabeth II Involve Doing This
The British royal family might be facing hard times following Prince Charles’ coronavirus diagnosis and the leave of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from their senior duties, but it appears Her Majesty has at least one family member she can lean on.
In March 2019, it was revealed that Queen Elizabeth II has weekly get-togethers with her granddaughter-in-law Kate Middleton. At the time, OK! Magazine reported that the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge would frequently get together to have “fun” by drinking tea, talking royal commitments, and discussing her three children she shares with Prince William.

“The Queen truly sees Kate as family and the feeling is mutual,” a source told the publication. “Kate’s always listened and taken the Queen’s advice. She takes her duty seriously and that impresses the Queen.”
The source added that the Queen is so fond of Kate because she “sees something of herself” in the Duchess.
“She never expected to become the sovereign so young and Kate didn’t grow up knowing she’d be a Princess,” explained the insider. “But she admires the way Kate handles it all.”

As for how the Queen and Kate plan their rumored meetings, it appears it could be arranged easier than some royal watchers may anticipate. During an interview on “Good Morning Britain” last August, the Queen’s grandson-in-law, Mike Tindall, revealed the family stays connected via a group text in WhatsApp.
“It’s just what you do to try and set up get-togethers and we are going to something that is the same,” Mike, who is married to the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall, said. “Quite a lot of people have family WhatsApp groups. I don’t think it’s a new revelation.”
