Queen Elizabeth II might just have a favorite great-grandchild. In the Feb. 24 print issue of OK! Magazine, the publication delves into the life of Britain’s Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, and particularly, her relationship with the Queen.

Her Majesty has “taken a special likening” to her grandson Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s second born. According to the outlet’s findings, the 93-year-old is so close with her 4-year-old great-granddaughter that they often have “sleepovers” together.

“They’ll read books together or work on jigsaw puzzles. Other times they’ll go down and say hello to the ponies because they both share a love of horses,” a royal insider shared.

Outside of their sleepover activities, the Queen and Charlotte are also said to join one another for tea parties. This, notes the outlet, is special as Charlotte is reportedly one of the only royal children to be invited by the monarch over for tea.

“Their tea parties have become the talk of the palace because they’re so cute,” shared a source. “Everyone jokes that Charlotte is clearly the Queen’s favorite.”

So, why do the two royals have such a close bond? According to the report, it may be due to the Queen seeing a bit of her late sister in the young Princess.

Shared a source, “The Queen can’t help but smile every single time she sees Charlotte and often says that ‘Little Lottie’ reminds her of her own sister, Princess Margaret, at that age.”
