- Kate Middleton praised for Princess Louis’ photos
- Kate Middleton's work “does not only exhibit technical excellence but communicates feeling,” according to an art critic
Kate Middleton's photos of Prince Louis were praised by a royal photographer.
The Duchess of Cambridge is a self-confessed amateur photographer. She usually takes photos of her kids and shares them online to mark their milestones.
Just recently, Middleton shared snaps of Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte for their birthdays. Royal photographer Samir Hussein praised the photos, especially the ones featuring her youngest son.
“I really liked the recent pictures of Prince Louis,” he told Us Weekly.
Hussein also praised Middleton’s photography skills. According to him, Prince William’s wife has undeniably gotten better at photography.
“You can see from the pictures she takes that she’s better, certainly better than your average person on the streets. She’s got a good eye, and she’s a good photographer. I’m impressed by her pictures, absolutely,” he added.
Earlier this year, netizens also praised Middleton after she shared a candid photo of Princess Charlotte looking at a bluebell. Those who saw the photo couldn’t help but praised it.
"She is darling. Kate is really excelling. It’s nice to watch her open up more. She is doing worthwhile work at the same time,” one netizen stated.
“Catherine is a very good photographer, it's good she's got a hobby outside her royal duties and being a parent,” @MariaMa50951426 wrote.
Just like Middleton, Prince Harry also likes using the camera from time to time. Prince William’s brother even shared animal photos that he personally took on the Sussex Royal Instagram account. But between the two, Jonathan Jones, an art critic for The Guardian, thinks Middleton is a better photographer.
According to Jones, Prince Harry’s “aesthetic ambitions are too obvious.” He added that the Duke of Sussex was “play-acting” at being a great photographer while Middleton’s family photos can be considered little works of art.
For Jones, Middleton’s pictures echo the artistic elements of Prince Harry’s snaps, but they are more subtle. Also, Middleton’s work “does not only exhibit technical excellence but communicates feeling.”
London-based award-winning photographer Bronwen Sharpe also praised Middleton’s photography skills. According to her, the duchess’ work features “real warmth and love.” She also complimented Middleton’s “natural ability to capture humanity” and her great eye for composition and color.
