Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio To Reunite On Big Screen? Actress ‘Would Love To’ Work With Him Again
Kate Winslet is eager to work with “Titanic” co-star and pal Leonardo DiCaprio again. But unfortunately for the actress, their reunion might not happen any time soon.
Over the weekend, E! News caught up with Winslet and asked the actress if there is a chance for her to reunite with DiCaprio in another project soon. Her response was both positive and negative. “At the moment, no. There’s nothing that Leo and I have planned. But as always I would love to work with him again one day but who knows? It might not happen until we’re 70,” said “The Reader” actress.
Winslet and DiCaprio have remained on good terms with each other after the success of “Titanic.” In fact, “The Dressmaker” star considered the actor as one of her “closest friends.” Likewise, the latter called Winslet his “home girl,” Independent reported.

When DiCaprio finally won an Academy Award for his performance in “The Revenant,” many noticed how emotional Winslet became over her longtime friend getting the recognition. She had been aware of how much he wanted the recognition, so she could not help but cry tears of joy when he finally got it.
Social media users noticed her reaction during the prestigious awards show, sparking a flood of tweets about the two stars. “LEO AND KATE ARE SO CUTE,” one user posted. “They are the pinnacle of friendship goals,” another one wrote, as quoted by The Telegraph.
Nowadays, Winslet is busy promoting her film, “The Mountain Between Us,” with Idris Elba. The actress admitted that filming her recent movie reminded her of shooting “Titanic” with DiCaprio. “I definitely had ‘Titanic’ flashbacks. How could I not? Freezing cold. Me falling into that cold water. It was definitely reminiscent of certain other rather challenging, strenuous experiences I had 20 years ago,” Winslet shared.
“The Mountain Between Us” focuses on two strangers, played by Elba and Winslet, who survive a deadly plane crash on a snow-covered mountain. The pair would have to work together to survive the harsh elements of cold, hunger and distress. According to Winslet, this was harder to film than “Titanic” because they were shooting at 10,000 feet and the temperature was -38 degrees Celsius (-36 degrees Fahrenheit).
According to Winslet, she kept DiCaprio on the loop while filming “The Mountain Between Us.” They even exchanged messages while she was on set. “I would send him little photos of me saying, ‘Thinking of you,’ as I am lying in the freezing snow covered ice and he would just send back slightly worried emojis,” said the “Sense and Sensibility” star.
