Is Katharine McPhee Still Married? She And Nick Cokas ‘Working On Their Marriage’ After Cheating Scandal
Could there be a fresh start for Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas? The actress is reportedly working on her marriage after she was caught kissing her “Smash” director, who is also married, five months ago. McPhee, 29, and Cokas, 57, were spotted walking their dogs together in Los Angeles over the weekend.
The “American Idol” runner-up reportedly had been “living apart” from her husband for six months before the scandalous photos emerged, but she was still “embarrassed” by them, according to Us Weekly.
"They're working on their marriage and spending a lot of time together," an insider told People magazine. "They're trying to start again."
The salacious cheating scandal between McPhee and her “Smash” director Michael Morris went viral after they were photographed kissing in October. The two had rumored to have been seeing each other for some time. But McPhee and Cokas aren’t the only ones who are trying to find a happy ending: Morris and his wife Mary McCormack have supposedly reconciled too.
He and the “West Wing” actress have been married for 10 years and have three children together. After the photos of his infidelity emerged, it was reported that McCormack kicked her cheating husband out of their home in Los Angeles. “Mary threw Michael out of the house on Sunday night when he told her that TMZ had the photos and that they were about to be released,” an "insider" told Page Six. But since then, according to Us, the two have reportedly been able to move forward with their marriage.
It’s not the first time an actress got involved with her director in Hollywood. Last summer, “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart notoriously was photographed kissing her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. But unlike the case of McPhee and Morris, that affair ended Stewart’s relationship with Robert Pattinson and Sanders’ marriage to model Liberty Ross.
