Katherine Jackson Reported Missing: Location Of Michael Jackson’s Mother Still Uncertain As Family Feud Continues
Michael Jackson's mother Katherine Jackson has been reported missing, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's office, although her son Jermaine contends the family's matriarch is fine. The entire ordeal appears to be part of some intra-family fighting that has gone public.
The 82-year-old woman has not been heard from in a week, according to a report filed by her nephew Trent. The sheriff's department confirmed a second family member also reported her missing Saturday. Michael Jackson's 14-year-old daughter Paris backed up the report on Twitter, saying yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now.
The report was poo-hooed by Jermaine Jackson, who wrote I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the order of a doctor, not us, via Twitter.
The he-said, she-said regarding Katherine Jackson's whereabouts follows an in-family kerfuffle between her surviving children and the managers of Michael Jackson's estate. A letter signed by five of Michael Jackson's siblings states the executors of the late King of Pop's estate are using a fraudulent will in their decision making. The will states Jackson left his fortune to his children, mother and charity. The signees include Jermaine and Janet Jackson, as well as Randy, Tito, and Rebbie.
The executors, John Branca and John McClain, have manipulated Katherine, damaging her health, according to the letter. She also allegedly suffered a mini-stroke.
Paris denied the allegations in a tweet that was eventually deleted.
I will defend my beloved family member with all I have, even if it means from other family members, she wrote. She went on to post a phone number for anyone who spots her grandmother to call, and noted that the doctor caring for Katherine Jackson is the same that testified her father was a drug addict.
The feud remained public, with Jermaine Jackson asserting the kids were looking out for mom first.
This is our mother and her health is paramount, Jermaine Jackson tweeted. We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctor's advice. Period.
The police do not suspect foul play, according to People. Katherine Jackson had been looking out for Michael's three kids -- Prince, Paris and Blanket -- since the singer's death in 2009.
