“As Katie and Suri both get older and progressively more health-conscious, Katie’s starting to recognize that living in an intense, bustling metropolis like Los Angeles or New York is simply not great for their health or their mental well-being,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. The tipster added that Katie Holmes, allegedly, thinks that “living a small-town life” is the best thing to do to address her current health problem.
The same source claimed that Katie got the idea from her former “Dawson’s Creek” co-star James Van Der Beek and his better half, Kimberly. It said that Suri’s mom was advised to get away from the stressful city life, which includes pollution, traffic and the unwanted attention she gets in big cities being a famous actress.
Early this month, NW Magazine suggested that Katie Holmes has been losing a lot of weight to the point that her only daughter expressed concern already. “Katie runs out of energy after a short walk and underneath the makeup, she’s gaunt and grey,” an informant told the entertainment news publication. “Suri’s a smart kid. She has noticed the change in Katie and is doing her best to get her to eat. She bakes cookies and muffins for her mom all the time, but Katie only pretends to eat them,” it continued.

The “First Daughter” star even stated that she spends a significant amount of time exercising and revealed that she is very careful about her diet and food intake. "Overall, though, I'm pretty healthy. Usually, I make a smoothie in the morning with greens and fruit. And I eat a lot of salads and fish. I try not to have too many carbs, like pasta and bread, because they make me so sleepy. But I love food, and I love cooking,” the “Mad Money” actress told the publication.
