Katie Holmes Heartbreak: Actress Reportedly 'Devastated' After Suri Read Tom Cruise's Secret Love Letters

Katie Holmes is, undeniably, one of the most promising actresses of her generation. The “Batman Begins” star hit headlines when she started going out with Tom Cruise in April 2005. After months of dating, Katie and Tom announced their engagement in June 2006 and tied the knot on Nov. 18, 2006, after welcoming their first child, Suri, on April 18, 2006. However, the actress shocked everyone when she filed for divorce in 2012 after almost six years of being with Tom.

Recently, Katie, allegedly, got her heart broken again after Suri found the former lovebirds’ secret letters. Woman’s Day Australia, in its May 11, 2020 issue, claimed that Tom’s 14-year-old daughter found a stash of notes between the ex-couple, which include love letters and sonnets. Suri, reportedly, came across the said documents while staying at her grandparent’s home in Toledo, Ohio, where she and Katie are said to be staying amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was a real bittersweet moment for both Katie and Suri. Katie did plan on showing Suri some of them one day, but an edited-down batch of the papers. Katie wasn’t prepared for Suri’s billions of questions at all. It took everyone by surprise, but Katie had to keep the documents somewhere and her dad’s place seemed ideal,” an unnamed source close to the family claimed.

“Suri was in tears over some of those poems though – she had no idea her dad could write beautiful words! Tom was incredibly romantic and passionately in love with Katie back then – to read those now it’s incomprehensible to think how it ended, especially the letter he wrote when she gave birth to Suri. It’s a real heart-melter,” it went on.

The discovery, reportedly reignited Suri’s interest to know her father more. However, it “devastated” Katie Holmes as she, allegedly, does not know what to do, especially since Tom Cruise “just doesn’t bother” at all. “It’s a very delicate situation that Katie’s handled very well so far, but this has certainly stirred up the skeletons in that cupboard,” the informant went on.

Us Magazine, previously, reported that Tom’s religion is one of the primary reasons why he does not have a close relationship with Suri. The publication said that the “Mission: Impossible” actor is not allowed to see or communicate with his daughter since she is not being raised as a Scientologist. Rumors claimed that Katie’s daughter and her father last saw each other in 2013.

Katie Holmes has yet to comment on these reports. However, with Woman’s Day’s reputation for creating stories based on the accounts of its anonymous and undependable sources, this could be another work of fiction waiting to be debunked. So, avid followers of the “First Daughter” star should take these speculations lightly until everything is proven true and correct.

Katie Holmes, in the photo, donned a white vest top paired with her blue and white tie-dye jeans. Suri Cruise, for her part, wore an oversized pink and white tie-dye t-shirt dress.
