Katie Holmes Protecting Daughter Suri From Tom Cruise’s Scientology Amid Jamie Foxx Wedding Rumors: Report

Katie Holmes is making several efforts to keep her daughter Suri Cruise away from Scientology by providing the 10-year-old a normal life. The news comes amid rumors that Holmes and Tom Cruise got divorced because the actress feared she would lose their daughter to Scientology, a religion the “Mission Impossible” star follows.

According to Radar Online, there was a major change in Suri's lifestyle after Holmes separated from Cruise, yanked her out of the Church of Scientology and moved her to the West Coast. A source told the celebrity news outlet that Holmes keeps her daughter busy with education — Suri reportedly studies in a private school, where the tuition fee is almost $50,000 a year.

"The other parents haven't been given any special instructions about having Suri as a classmate to their children," a source told Radar Online. "They were never told not to talk to the press or to treat Suri differently. She [Holmes] is just like all the other parents at the school."

The report added that Holmes did not flaunt her money despite receiving a huge settlement from Cruise during their 2012 divorce.

"There was a big event at the school, but Katie didn't make a significant contribution or draw any attention to her donation," the source reportedly said, adding that Holmes does not provide Suri with a luxurious lifestyle which the child was accustomed to when living with her father.

"She seems to be like every other kid out there now," the source reportedly said.

Recently, rumors surfaced that Cruise was “brainwashed into believing an ‘evil spirit’ is controlling his innocent little girl.” The National Enquirer reported that as the reason “why he [Cruise] hasn’t seen the adorable 10-year-old for nearly a thousand days,” but the actor was now planning to free her daughter of the problem by taking her to the Church of Scientology. However, Gossip Cop debunked the report.

Meanwhile, there have been several rumors over the last few months that Holmes is engaged to actor Jamie Foxx. Some reports claimed this month that Foxx and Holmes are facing trouble in their relationship, since Foxx did not want to make his relationship with Holmes public because he thought her ex-husband Tom Cruise might go “crazy” after knowing about their romance.

“Katie has grown weary of playing hide-and-seek with their relationship,” a close friend of Holmes told Radar Online at the time.
