‘Katy Keene’ Spoilers: Ashleigh Murray On Josie’s Responsible Career Choices And Working With ‘Riverdale’ Star Robin Givens

Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) is going through a rough patch professionally as she tries to keep things professional with Xander Cabot in “Katy Keene.” Meanwhile, Katy (Lucy Hale) is dealing with her heartbreak after the Valentine's Day episode.

Ashley Murray spoke with TV Insider about her character’s journey so far in the show. She mentioned that Josie has made responsible choices for herself.

“Yes! She did make some pretty responsible choices for herself, which I think you can only expect from someone who has been on the road for years with her dad performing in small places, big places and understanding what's a good path to take and what isn't,” Murray said.

Talking about working with Xander, who is her former love interest, she stated that if they have to work with someone and there is some attraction involved, it can come up. But, the actress feels that it is these moments they have to make a choice and decide if it is the right thing to do or not. She added there will be some back and forth between Xander and Josie.

It is confirmed that Sierra McCoy (Robin Givens) is coming on “Katy Keene,” and Murray, who portrays McCoy’s daughter is every bit excited working with Givens.

She mentioned that Givens is the “best.” And she adores her. Clearly, the chemistry is likely to sparkle between these two characters.

During the interview, Murray also revealed that Josie wants to compose a hit number. The actress said that they have already started the process. She hoped that they keep at it. “The four of us, and really, so many of us [on the show] love the idea of, ‘Oh, we should do this song on the show" or "Wouldn't it be great if we did that?,'” Murray mentioned. She added that the energy level between the cast is high.
