Katy Perry’s ex-boyfriend John Mayer reacts to her pregnancy with Orlando Bloom.

An insider told Us Weekly that Mayer was happy about his ex-girlfriend’s pregnancy. He reportedly wanted nothing but positive vibes.

“John is happy for Katy and wishes her the best,” the source said. “They don’t keep in touch that much.”

Mayer and Perry had an on-again, off-again relationship. According to Who, they split three times in August 2012, March 2013, and February 2014. They even sparked engagement rumors when the “Roar” singer was spotted with three diamond rings during their relationship. However, they never confirmed it until they broke up for good.

In 2017, Mayer confirmed that his song “Still Feel Like Your Man” was for Perry.

“Who else would I be thinking about?” Mayer told The New York Times, referring to Perry as the main subject of the song.

“And by the way, it’s a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it’s like, give me this, people.”

Perry announced her pregnancy in her music video “Never Worn White” which was released on March 4. In her interview with SiriusXM Hits 1 she shared that it wasn’t an accident. In fact, she planned it because she was already content with what she accomplished in her professional life.

“Well, it wasn't an accident,” she said.

“I'm so grateful for everything that I have been able to do and achieve, and all the goals I've been able to kind of check off my list of dreams, and the life I've lived thus far. I think I've just been trying to create this space in my own life where I'm not running myself too ragged, and creating space for something new to happen like this. I think we were both looking forward to this new interval of life and sharing this. That's kind of how it happens.”

Perry also shared that not too much was changed when it comes to her cravings that’s why the people around her didn’t notice that she was already expecting. The “Bon appetit” songstress admitted that she was always hungry so the people thought she was only being “curvy and hungry.”

Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom are expected to tie the knot later this year.
