Katy Perry's Wardrobe Malfunction On 'American Idol' Gets Fixed With Duct Tape [Watch]
Katy Perry reacted to her wardrobe malfunction as she took to Twitter Tuesday to share a clip, where her red skin-tight pants get ripped off.
The 37-year-old singer shared Monday's "American Idol" video where she sang her popular music track, "Teenage Dream." In the 17 seconds clip, the singer bent down while singing and suddenly realized that her skin-tight pants got ripped off.
"Can I get some tape? Some gaffer tape?" Perry asked the production crew and got her pants fixed with yellow duct tape.
"Ima get ur heart racing in my skin-tight jeans on #americanidol tonight _ tune in now for a RIPPING good time," Perry reacted to her wardrobe malfunction.
Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.
One of the fans recalled that this is not the first time Perry suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the show. The fan shared 2018's photo and posted it alongside the recent one.
"Queen of splitting her pants on television and flashing xoxoxox," another fan wrote.
Another fan noted, "It’s not American idol without a lil kp flashing moment #AmericanIdol."
A fellow judge, Luke Bryan, shared a fun photoshopped picture of Perry and wrote, "This is supposed to be a family show." Perry replied, "family, my ass."
Before the show, Perry flaunted her outfit on Twitter and captioned the post, "Don’t let the Monday blues get you down, #americanidol is on tonight and it’s #hollywoodweek babes."
Perry was in news last week for performing a dance-off with a contestant named Thomas Patrick Moran, who was later joined by his mother.
Perry has been judging the show since 2009. The show also consists of judges Lionel Richie and Bryan. "American Idol" airs every Sunday and Monday at 8 p.m. ET on the ABC network.
Besides judging "American Idol," Perry dropped her music video, "When I'm Gone," in January. The music video was helmed by director Hannah Lux Davis and it also featured Swedish DJ Alesso and actress Patience Aquart.
Perry was also featured in a short video, "Transmissions from the Future," which was dropped in June last year featuring her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom.
