Keke Palmer called out trolls on social media who called her "ugly," telling them that they need to get "help."
On Tuesday, the 29-year-old "Nope" star shared on Twitter that she saw a few comments from people criticizing her makeup-free appearance.
"I just saw a few comments of [people] saying I was ugly 'cause I wasn't wearing any makeup. And I really want y'all to get the help y'all need because makeup isn't real. I'm beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like," Palmer wrote.
The former Disney Channel star continued in another tweet, "I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it. Because some people take comments to heart and these [people] just say anything."
"Truly it's insane to say anyone is ugly, but especially me," she concluded, adding crying-laughing emojis.
Fans were quick to show support for the actress in the comments section of her post, which has gained over 400,000 likes. They shared their experiences of meeting Palmer in person and praised her for being "beautiful inside and out."
"People who say that kind of stuff [like] 'you look ugly' or whatever are just jealous and insecure of themselves. You're beautiful because of who you are and who you choose to be. Don't let those people get to you. Keep doing you," one user wrote.
Another commented, "Ms. Keke, you are an absolute delight of a human being. You are beautiful inside and out. My son adores you. Meeting you at Lightyear was such a treat, and dancing with your family at the after-party made his year! Sending ALL our love."
"I met Keke after one of my exams in Antigua, and she was literally the sweetest person! We were all on a floating bar, and we all ended up hanging out together and having a good time. I'll never forget how incredible of a person she is," a third user shared.
Hours later, Palmer shared a cryptic post on Twitter, saying, "The care and concern people have for their online life vs. their [real] life is devastatingly disproportionate."
Palmer has been open about her struggles with adult acne on social media. In 2020, the actress posted a bare-face selfie on Instagram, along with a lengthy caption explaining that polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) was one of the reasons why her skin was "so bad."
Palmer said that she "tried everything" to fix it, including taking medication, drinking water and having a "better diet." She also revealed that some people, including comedian Tyler Perry, "offered to pay" for her treatment.
In the post, the actress encouraged others with similar struggles to keep on fighting and assured them that they are "not alone."
"The least harmful thing PCOS can bring is acne. To all the people struggling with this, please know you're not alone and that you are still so f---king fine! MY ACNE AIN'T NEVER STOPPED ME. But we don't have [to] accept this. Now I can really help KEKE! And I love her so it's ON," she wrote, before asking for prayers from her supporters.
"I'm not afraid to show myself to the world and you shouldn't be either," she concluded.
Over the weekend, Palmer addressed the pregnancy rumors during her hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live" and confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with her first baby with boyfriend Darius Jackson.
"There [are] some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, 'Keke's having a baby, Keke's pregnant,' and I wanna set the record straight — I am!" she excitedly shared during her "SNL" monologue, "Honestly this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited. Guys, I'm going to be a mom."
