Khloé Kardashian-Lamar Odom Update: Divorce Reportedly Dismissed, But What About James Harden?

Lamar Odom is getting a second chance. Not only is the former NBA star recovering in the hospital after four days in a coma, but he is reportedly rekindling his relationship with estranged wife Khloé Kardashian.

TMZ reports that Kardashian, 31, and Odom, 35, have asked the courts to dismiss their divorce. According to the gossip site, Kardashian’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, went to the judge Wednesday to withdraw the previous paperwork that the couple signed. The request was granted and the divorce was dropped. Odom reportedly had to sign papers from his hospital bed.

Kardashian and Odom wed in September 2009 after dating for just a month. Their nuptials were filmed for the E! reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” and they later landed their own spinoff series, “ Khloé & Lamar.” However, Kardashian ultimately filed for divorce in December 2013 after Odom was accused of drug use and infidelity. The pair took their final steps toward ending their marriage in late July, but the paperwork was never processed.

Khloé Kardashian’s reported decision to give her marriage a second chance comes shortly after she released a statement on Lamar Odom. She posted a message for fans on her website, stating that she’s thankful for those that have “sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar” during their difficult time.

“You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure,” she wrote. “Thank you for your continued support. God is great!”

Meanwhile, a source has told People magazine that Kardashian hopes Odom’s hospitalization will be a turning point for him.

“Everyone is hoping that this will be a reality check for him, and that he will make a change in his life and be the man he was created to be,” the insider explained.

Odom continues to recover after being moved from Las Vegas to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with Kardashian at his side. But what about James Harden? The reality star has been linked to the Houston Rockets shooting guard since the summer. E! Online reported Tuesday that they were still dating even as Kardashian is watching over Odom.

“Lamar essentially has zero consistent family other than the Kardashians, and James understands that,” an insider told the site. “The last thing he would want to do would be to add more stress to her plate.”

However, TMZ reported Tuesday that “everything is on hold right now while she’s with Lamar.”
