Khloe Kardashian has no plans to kick her children's father Tristan Thompson out of her life despite their breakup and his paternity scandal, according to a report.
The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum and the NBA player, who are parents to 4-year-old daughter True, are expecting a second child via surrogate.
But while it was reported that they have not gotten back together and do not speak outside of co-parenting matters, an anonymous industry insider told Page Six that they would not be surprised if the pair rekindle their romance again in the future.
"I'm told that Khloé still loves Tristan, she is fixed on redeeming him, and nothing would shock me if they got back together again," the insider claimed. "This is really why the family is not shunning Tristan. They're standing by Khloé, of course. The Kardashians always stick together."
Kardashian and Thompson had been dating for three years when she broke up with him in 2019 after he was seen kissing Kylie Jenner’s former best friend, Jordyn Woods. They got back together in August 2020 after spending time together during the pandemic, and they were seeing each other on and off when they decided to have another child in 2021, according to the outlet.
Kardashian told friends in November 2021 that she and Thompson were expecting their second child together via surrogate, according to the report, but the following month, news broke that the NBA star fathered a child with Maralee Nichols when he and the reality star were still together.
On July 13, Kardashian was reportedly blindsided when news of her and Thompson's second baby leaked after having kept it secret for months.
"It's just sad sometimes when you really want something to work," an unnamed friend of the Kardashian-Jenner family told Page Six. "Khloé's very open about the fact that she knows her life is public and that's a choice she made — but still, it's just hard to have this all play out in public."
The industry insider told the outlet that the "Revenge Body" star had planned to announce her second child on Season 2 of "The Kardashians" on Hulu but changed her mind after Thompson's cheating and their split.
Kardashian reportedly realized that the news about the baby would leak before the premiere of the second season in September so she decided to confirm it.
"We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November. Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing," Kardashian's rep said in a statement to Page Six earlier this month. "We'd like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family."
Last week, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Kardashian "is not done with Tristan for good." However, the unnamed insider pointed out that it was because the NBA player "will always be the father of their kids and she won't strip him of that."
The reality star appeared unbothered after Thompson was spotted in Greece with a mystery woman earlier this month and even "liked" a fan post on Instagram defending the athlete. The insider told ET that Kardashian doesn't care about him dating as long as Thompson remains a good father to their children.
Aside from True and his upcoming son with Kardashian, Thompson is also father to 5-year-old son Prince with ex Jordan Craig. His son with Nichols, Theo, is now 8 months old.
Meanwhile, Kardashian is reportedly dating a private equity investor her sister Kim Kardashian introduced her to at a dinner party.
"Khloé has moved on and is happy in her new relationship, which is still in its early stages," an unnamed insider told Us Weekly of the Good American founder's rumored new beau earlier this month.
